The JW3 Live At The Langham (feat. The JW3)
A 12 track jazz instrumental pop album (58m 1s) — released May 24th 2010 on John Anthony Watson
Singer, pianist and keyboard player John Watson is the long time musical director of Leee John and legendary 80's group 'Imagination' and also played, arranged and co-wrote on Leee's jazz album 'Feel My Soul'. Popular on the London scene, John has also performed at top venues from New York to Paris. He is currently resident pianist and musical director in the Palm Court – The Langham, London.
John's new instrumental album 'The JW3 Live At The Langham' is a natural progression from his previous jazz trio album 'Master Of The Mood'. Once more John's piano style is enhanced by the rich sound of Miles Danso on acoustic bass and sympathetic groove of Joe 'JC' Caddy on drums as they perform a cool mixture of jazz standards such as Billy Taylor's 'I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free', tastefully arranged contemporary songs such as Norah Jones' 'Don't Know Why' plus three original compositions by John including the aptly named 'Palm Courting'. 'Jazz Notes' said of John and his trio, "Watson plays from the heart, excels at creating mood, and displays excellent technical facility. The pretty stories the Watson trio wove made for an uplifting musical evening."
