Praise

John Watson is a UK singer, pianist, keyboard player and songwriter. He is popular on the London scene and has performed at top venues worldwide with artists that include Leee John, Mica Paris and Sister Sledge. John has recorded several albums and EPs, composed theme music for the BBC and independent broadcasters and was recently commissioned to compose the company song for an international furniture company. During lockdown, John was one of the featured musicians on the #64BigBandProject - a music video charity project by the team at SixtyFour Music to raise funding for Médecins Sans Frontières and also performed on several livestream shows including Woodbridge Festival 2020 Lockdown with Leee John raising money for #SaveOurVenues. John is a dedicated church musician and worship leader and his praise songs are regularly performed in the UK and worldwide. His recent Christmas EP 'New Star' was particularly popular and several of the 'New Star' tracks and music videos were used in online worship.

'Praise' features six of John's original worship songs, all with an uplifting and positive message, from rock ballads such as 'For All That You Have Given Me' to the joyful, finger-snapping a cappella track 'He Came Walking On The Water' (all the voices multi-tracked by John to create the effect of a gospel choir) plus more intimate tracks such as 'Help Me Lord To Accept My Brother'; a track about unity and racial tolerance - very personal to John who is mixed race and poignant in these times of the#BlackLivesMatter movement. The EP ends with the peaceful and reflective 'In The Silence We Are Waiting'. 'Praise' is the perfect addition to any worship or reflective playlist during the run up to Easter and throughout the year.
